11月16日（木）に、体育館にてセーフティ教室が行われました。今回のセーフティ教室では、外部の講師をお招きして、『インターネットの安心・安全な使い方』について、講演していただきました。講演の中では、ネットを利用する際の危険性について、重点的に話していただきました。今回の講演で学んだ危険性について、十分に理解した上で、ルールを決めて、正しく活用していきましょう。しかし、正しく活用しても、ネットを利用するとトラブルに巻き込まれることもあります。そんな時は、トラブルが大きくなる前に、近くにいる信頼できる大人に相談をしましょう。それが解決の近道です。
自由に使えて、便利なネットですが、一歩間違えると、凶器にもなります。是非、使う時は、相手のことを考えて、正しく責任をもって、使いましょう。

以前の記事でもお伝えしたように、八王子市初のスピーチコンテストにおいて、別所中学校の代表として参加した3年の青木さんが見事2位に輝きました。
そこで、今回の記事では、スピーチの原稿を紹介します。もちろん、本番は原稿を見ずに、堂々と発表をしていました。

Hachioji Pure Love Story

Hello, everyone. I am going to tell you how much I love Hachioji.
How many good points of Hachioji can you tell? I can tell so many things like Hachioji summer festival, Mt. Takao, musicians from Hachioji, many shops around the station, Hachioji ramen, good environment and so on. If I talk about all of these things, three minutes is too short. So I will talk about three things I really want to tell you.
First, I like Hachioji summer festival. Have you ever been there? I enjoy the festival every year. Many people come to the festival every year, so it is very crowded. There are many stalls of delicious foods. We can also enjoy the performance of Japanese drums and bon-odori dancing. It is called “Taiyo Odori.” And we can see many people there, so we can make new friends. I once became friends with some girls in other school’s basketball team. These are all my good memories of Hachioji summer festival.
Second, Mt. Takao is a good place to visit. The area around Hachioji station is very crowded and busy, but Hachioji has beautiful nature, too. When you visit Mt. Takao, you can enjoy beautiful nature and fresh air. From the top of the mountain, you can see the whole town of Hachioji.
Third, there are many famous musicians from Hachioji. By the way, my favorite music group is Funky Monkey Babies. I like their song, “Hachioji Pure Love Story.” It is one of the most favorite songs. It is written about Hachioji, for example, Hachioji’s delicious foods and Hachioji’s popular places and things. The song is filled with things about Hachioji. Please listen to the song. Also, some famous musicians like Kitajima Saburo and Matsutoya Yumi are from Hachioji. Please listen to the song and their songs, too. Therefore, we can say that Hachioji is a town of music.
With these good things, I really love Hachioji. I have not decided my future dream yet, but I want to introduce this town to many Japanese people and foreign people. That’s how much I like it. I would like to live in this town when I grow up, too. So I want to know more about Hachioji. I am very proud that Hachioji is my hometown.

11月6日（月）に学校朝礼が行われました。その中で、校長先生からは、大きく分けて、2つのお話がありました。1つ目は、先日行われた芸能祭での吹奏学部の演奏や駅伝での陸上部の走りを例に挙げて、【地道にコツコツと、目立たないけれど継続する】ことの大切さについてでした。2つ目は、【目的をもって、50分間の授業に取り組む】ことの大切さについてでした。
定期考査が近づき、勉強に部活動に忙しくなってくる時期ですが、目的や目標をもって、努力を続け、日々の学校生活を送りましょう。
最後に、表彰がありました。先日行われた八王子市初のスピーチコンテストにおいて、別所中学校の代表として参加した3年の青木さんが2位に輝き、表彰されました。表彰の後には、実際に本番で披露したスピーチを全校生徒前で、見せてくれました。本当に堂々とした素晴らしいスピーチでした。おめでとうございます。
