今年度に入り子供にかかわる交通事故が市内で発生しています。
生徒の皆さんは以下の点などに注意して交通事故の防止を図りましょう。

・道路を横断するときは、青信号の時でも、左右の自動車が止まったことを確認してから横断歩道を渡る。
・登下校などの際も、車道に出たり、友達と広がって歩いたりしない。
・都の条例では自転車に乗るときは子供（１８歳以下）にヘルメットを着用させる保護者の努力義務が規定されている。

Traffic accidents involving children have occurred in Hachioji City since April.
Students should pay attention to the following points to prevent traffic accidents.

・When crossing the road, even at the green light, make sure that the left and right cars have stopped before crossing the pedestrian crossing.
・ Do not spread out with friends on the road. Walk on the sidewalk and stay out of the driveway.
・ Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance stipulates that parents are obligated to make their children (under 18 years old) wear helmets when riding bicycles.
